A man has been stabbed on a York city centre street.
The man, who in his 30s, has suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries after the attack on Walmgate.
He is being treated for his injuries in York Hospital.
Police were called to reports of the stabbing shortly before midnight on Wednesday (April 18).

Forensic enquiries
The investigation is ongoing. An area of Walmgate was cordoned off while forensic enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said:
We know this will be a concerning incident for residents.
Officers will be conducting patrols in the area today to provide reassurance to the local community.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting reference number NYP-18042018-0573.
The footpath on Walmgate was taped off this morning (Thursday, April 19), from outside the One Stop shop on the junction with Margaret Street to Bowes Morrell House, close to the junction with Hope Street.
Blood stains and clothing could be seen outside the One Stop Shop.
The cordon has now been removed.
