A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a three-vehicle crash near York.
As YorkMix reported, the A59 near Hessay has been closed for several hours after the collision this morning (Wednesday).
It happened at 6.30am and involved three vehicles.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“Officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.”

Drivers caught up in the aftermath reported that two vehicles then crashed into a ditch on the diversion route, adding to the congestion.
