A man was seriously hurt in what police are describing as a city centre disturbance.
The 40-year-old man is in hospital after the incident, which took place in Rougier Street at around 5am on Sunday (July 8).
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He currently remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
The injured man is in hospital and his condition is described as serious.
Detectives would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or the circumstances leading up to it.
