Fire crews were called to a house fire in Selby this morning.
Crews from Selby along with colleagues from Pontefract and Castleford responded to the call at 10.34am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “One occupant was rescued from the property by crews before they extinguished the fire consisting of clothing and paper.
“Crews ventilated the property using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
“The occupant was left in the care of police and ambulance crews.”
