Man rescued from River Ouse – then thrown out of York

A man had to be rescued after jumping in the river in York city centre today (Saturday).

He jumped into the river from Ouse Bridge.

York Rescue Boat were on hand to get to the man and pull him out of the water.

The York Street Rangers and city police were on hand at the bank. After he was checked and found to be OK officers issued him with a dispersal order banning him from the city centre for a limited period.
