Emergency services have helped a man out of the river in the centre of York.
Fire Crews from across the city and volunteers from York Rescue Boat were involved along with the local police.
The man was rescued from the River Foss near Fossgate.
York Rescue Boat says two swift water technicians went into the river to bring the casualty to safety. He was then helped by Yorkshire Ambulance service.
