A man was assaulted on a York street and police are appealing for witnesses.
A man in his fifties was punched in the face by an unknown male on Barkston Road in Acomb on Tuesday 29 October at around 6.50pm.
The victim suffered facial swelling due to the assault.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said:

We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
In particular, we are appealing to anyone who may of witnessed the incident or anyone who has any information which would assist police to identify the suspect who punched the victim.
He is described as
- about 5ft 10in tall
- with dark hair
- of medium build
- unshaven
- and wearing a grey hooded jumper.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police.
