A man needed hospital treatment after being attacked in York.
It happened on the junction of Haxby Road and Walpole Street at about 11.10pm on Friday 20 December.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “A male was walking home when he was stopped by two white males in their 20s who were not known to him, one of which had a white bull terrier type dog with him.
“One off the males has punched the victim to the face causing an injury that has required several stitches.”
The offender is described as
- a white male
- in their mid 20s
- roughly 5ft 10in tall
- of skinny build
- with short light brown hair
He potentially had an Irish accent.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or has information or video footage, to get in touch.
