A man was left in hospital after two men attacked him on a York city centre street.
The incident happened on Church Street at on Wednesday, January 25.
The victim was walking to meet his wife when he became involved in an argument with three people sat on a bench near York Camera Mart.
Two men then assaulted the victim, who was punched and kicked while he was on the floor.
His injuries included a swollen eye which he couldn’t open for several days, bruised back and arms and several facial cuts. He was treated in York Hospital.

The third person is described as a white female, about 40 years old, around 5ft 5ins tall and of average build.
A North Yorkshire police spokeswoman said:
In particular, we are appealing for information from anyone who was in that area and saw the assault, or any of the suspects.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should call the police.
