Emergency services were called to a head-on crash in North Yorkshire last night.
Firefighters from Malton responded to the incident on the A64 eastbound carriageway at Malton at 9.32pm
The carriageway was closed for some time between the B1248 and the A169 junctions while emergency services dealt with the collision.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “One male driver in his 60s was extricated by crews using cutting gear and taken to hospital with injuries, not thought to be serious.”
At 3.48am, National Highways Yorkshire posted on X, formerly Twitter: “North Yorkshire Police
have completed investigation work on the A64 eastbound between the B1248 and the A169 near Malton following the earlier collision.
“The vehicle involved has been recovered and the road reopened. Residual delays in the area have since cleared.”
