Man injured in crash on main North Yorkshire road
A man was injured in a crash on a North Yorkshire road last night (Monday).
Emergency services were called to a single vehicle collision on York Road, Thirsk, at 7.53pm.
Fire crews from Thirsk and Boroughbridge attended, along with police and paramedics.

A man couldn’t move from the vehicle due to his injuries.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews liaised with ambulance crews on scene and carried out a full roof removal to enable the extrication of the casualty.
“The male casualty was removed from the vehicle using a spinal board and transported to hospital suffering suspected neck injuries.
“Crews made the scene safe and handed over to the police.”
