A man in his 90s is in a serious condition in hospital after he was in collision with a car in North Yorkshire yesterday (Monday).
It happened on the A61 at the junction with Knox Mill Lane between Harrogate and Killinghall at about 5.50pm.
The pedestrian had just left a bus. The Ford Fiesta was travelling northbound on the A61 in the direction of Killinghall.
The injured man remains in a serious condition in hospital. The driver is helping officers with their investigation.
The road was closed for several hours to allow investigation work to take place reopening at 1.45am today (Tuesday).
