A man died in a multi-vehicle crash near York today (Saturday).
It happened on the A1079 near Wilberfoss, close to the David Smith Garden Centre, at about 9am.
A blue Suzuki VL800 motorbike, a silver Hyundai I10, a dark coloured VW Caravelle and a white DAF HGV collided

A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Emergency services attended however the rider of the motorcycle suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
“The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist trained officers. Our thoughts are with them are this extremely difficult time.”
Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam or any CCTV from around the area at the time of the incident to contact them.
