A man has died after a collision with a lorry on a main North Yorkshire road.
As we reported, a crash on the A162 at South Milford closed the road yesterday morning (Wednesday).
Today, police released more details and asked for witnesses to come forward.
They were called at 6.05am by Yorkshire Ambulance Service to report a collision between a pedestrian and a white Scania heavy goods lorry on the A162, near to Ingthorne Lane and Quarry Lane.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Very sadly the pedestrian, a local man in his sixties, died at the scene due to the injuries he sustained.”
They are appealing to anyone who was travelling along the road at the time of the incident, who may have witnessed or recorded dashcam footage of the incident itself or the pedestrian or lorry prior to the collision, to get in touch on the numbers below.
