Police investigate sudden death of man at York retail store
A man has died at a store in York.
Police were called to the sudden death of a man who was found inside the former Homebase store at Foss Islands Retail Park in York.
The incident was reported at 8.29am on Monday (3 September 2018).
Early indications suggest the man, who is aged in his late 40s and from the local area, had been working at the site which is undergoing redevelopment into a new B&M store.
Police enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained.
The man’s next of kin have been informed.
A spokeswoman for B&M said: “Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this incredibly sad time.”
