Four people were injured in an accident on a main York road this afternoon (Tuesday).
The crash happened at about 2.25pm on Shipton Road, outside the York Cricket & Rugby Club.
It involved three cars.
Firefighters from Huntington and Acomb went to the crash and used hydraulic cutting equipment to free a man trapped in one of the vehicles.
A spokeswoman from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said one casualty was taken to Leeds General Infirmary and another to York Hospital.
Two more people were treated at the scene.
One of the vehicles involved was an Uber.
Shipton Road was closed in both directions while emergency services dealt with the accident. It has since reopened.
