A man has been charged with attempted murder following the knife attack in Selby.
YorkMix reported yesterday (Wednesday, 18 May) that a woman was in hospital with serious injuries after being attacked near the Selby Balti House.
Today North Yorkshire Police issued this statement: “A man has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
“Shortly after 12.30am yesterday, we were called to Flaxley Road in Selby, after reports a woman had been attacked with a knife.
“A 25-year-old man was arrested. He appeared in court this morning, where he was remanded in custody.
“The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
“Thank you to members of the public that came forward with information that assisted our enquiries.”
