A man got stuck in a lift shaft in a York building late last night (Friday).
Firefighters were called to the incident at an undisclosed location at 11.21pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from York responded to a person who was trapped in a lift shaft and underneath the lift itself, uninjured.
“Crews used a socket set to access and release the person from the lift.
“The incident was left with onsite staff who were awaiting arrival of lift engineer to isolate the system.”
