Man attempts to snatch dog as it was walked by its owner
A man attempted to snatch a dog from its owner in Pickering.
It took place at 7.15pm yesterday (Monday, 1 March) on Pluntrain Dale Lane.
An unknown male suspect approached a dog walker and attempted to grab his dog from him. The dog walker sustained minor injuries.
Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
They are particularly interested in information about any people or vehicles seen acting suspiciously in and around the area at this time.
The suspect is described as
- male
- 6ft tall
- of skinny build
- with a Yorkshire / Cleveland accent.
He was wearing all black clothing with a long-sleeved top with holes cut out for the thumbs.
