A man suffered facial injuries after being set upon by two men at a York petrol station.
The attack happened at about 12.30pm on Sunday (6 November), on the forecourt of the filling station at Asda in Monks Cross.
Two men attacked the victim who suffered two black eyes and other facial injuries.
His attackers drove off in their small, green van. One of them is described as:
- white
- around 5ft 9ins tall
- of stocky build
- aged around 50
- with dark hair.
The other man is described as
- white
- 6ft tall
- of slim build
- aged in his 20s
- with fair hair
- and wearing work clothes.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are also appealing for a witness who assisted the victim, as it is believed they may have obtained the vehicle registration for the suspects’ van.”
The victim did not require medical treatment, said police.
