Man assaults two women outside York pizza shop

A man assaulted two women outside a York fast food outlet, causing them to fall into the road.

The incident happened near to the Dominic Pizza shop on Lawrence Street at 1.45am on Saturday 29 May.

It involved five women and one man. A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “During the incident the male is alleged to have assaulted two of the females causing them both to fall into the road.

“We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
