Man assaulted on balcony in York

A man had to go to hospital after being assaulted on a York balcony.

The incident happened at around 11pm on Friday (30 August) on a balcony of a property on Walmgate.

The victim was assaulted by another man, and sustained cuts to his face. He was discharged from hospital after treatment.

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information. A spokeswoman for the force said:

  • We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

    In particular we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police.
