Man arrested at York business park after drugs found in car

One arrested by York police

A man has been arrested after his grey Audi A3 was stopped by police in York.

Officers stopped the vehicle at Cliftongate Business Park shortly before 11am on Monday (May 1), after they suspected there were drugs in the vehicle.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers found an amount of cannabis and some scales.

The 36 year old driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and possession with intent to supply a class B drug.

The man has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
