A man has been arrested in York after a teenager was seriously hurt.
At around 9am on Saturday (26 April), police were called by the ambulance service to a report of a 19-year-old man with serious injuries in the Yeomans Court area of Kirkbymoorside.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to cuts to his head and arm.

The suspect fled in his car. Officers traced the vehicle and intercepted it on Malton Road in York at around 11am on Saturday.
Police arrested the 38-year-old man who was taken into custody. He was charged with wounding and possessing an offensive weapon in public.
He was due to appear in court today (Monday).
