Police officers from York hunting for a 28-year-old local man in connection with an attempted murder of a woman in the city have arrested a suspect.
Michael Bennison was arrested in connection with the incident at an address in the Huntington area of York at around 7pm today (Sunday 16 December 2012). He is currently in police custody.
The incident took place at an address on Healey Grove, in the Huntington area of York, at around 1pm on Friday 14 December 2012.
Detective Inspector Shaun Page, of North Yorkshire Police, said: “I would like to convey my thanks to the media and the many members of the public who have contributed to the search and helped us to locate Bennison.”
