Police investigating an armed robbery at a store in York have made an arrest, they revealed today (Thursday).
YorkMix reported on Monday that a shop worker had been hurt when a knife-wielding man raided the Co-op on Beckfield Lane, Acomb, at about 9.20pm last Friday (20 May).
Armed police were deployed in response to the robbery, during which a shop assistant sustained a cut to her hand.
Detectives appealed for witnesses to come forward.
Today they said a 26-year-old York man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident.
He is currently in police custody.
