A man has appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a named victim and carrying a knife following an incident in York.
Philip Noble, 44, of Field View, Clifton, appeared at York Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday) when his case was sent to the Crown Court.
He is charged with unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm and carrying an offensive weapon, namely a knife, in Baker Street, Clifton, on 5 June.
Mr Noble was remanded in custody until his appearance at York Crown Court on 21 July.
YorkMix reported how police were called to Baker Street in Clifton last Thursday at about 7.30pm.
A boy aged 16 was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed.
The victim remains in a stable condition in hospital.
North Yorkshire Police made several arrests after the incident.
Three further people arrested in connection with this incident have been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Four others have been released from custody and will face no further action.
