A man has been airlifted to hospital after a crash involving a lorry and a car.
Emergency services were called to the B1257 at Slingsby near Malton at 12.23pm today (Monday).
The collision involved a VW Tiguan and a lorry, and it closed the road.
Where it happened
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The male driver of the lorry, aged in his 40s, was out on arrival.
“The male driver of the VW, aged in his 20s, was medically trapped. Crews released the casualty who was taken to James Cook Hospital via air ambulance.
“Crews used the first aid kit, stabilisation kit, cutters, spreaders, reciprocating saw.”
