Make a splash at York’s newest evening out – Hot Tub Cinema Night

It takes the relaxation of a nice bath, stirs in the fun of a night at the bar and then puts it all in front of a classic movie.

That’s York’s first ever Hot Tub Cinema night – coming to the city this month.

The York Student Hot Tub Cinema event is being put together by Hello Hot Tub Hire York, based on the Stonebow, which rents out hot tubs for £50 a night.

Hosted by video production company Orillo at their Heslington base it is said to be one “of York’s most unique and exclusive nights”.

You can rent out a tub for six for £119.94, or £19.99 each. The film is classic US high school musical Grease.

There’ll be a bar serving beer, wine, cocktails and spirits at “student-friendly prices” and the ticket also includes a post-film hot tub party.

If you really want to make a splash you can hire the premium tub, complete with in-built LED light system and complimentary Prosecco.

This may be York’s first hot tub movie night, but similar events have been held in other cities round the world. New York, London, Birmingham and Bristol are among the places to have combined bath night with movie night.
