There’s a major police operation taking place in a York suburb tonight (Wednesday).
Several police cars and vans have descended on Malton Road, Heworth.
They pulled up in the car park at the Wilco Motosave store around 9pm.
Where it happened
Witnesses say that there appears to have been a pursuit with at least two people seen running from officers close to the shop.
A police dog unit is at the scene. Unmarked police cars have been spotted in the area too.
Malton Road, Elmfield Avenue and other side streets all remain open.
