A York road that was originally due to reopen on 8 October is still closed – and will stay shut for another week.
Kent Street, behind the York Barbican, was first closed on 7 August between the Barbican Road and Fawcett Street junctions.
But the drainage and highway resurfacing works have overrun badly.

The first extension saw it due to reopen this Sunday (19 November). But now it is set to stay shut until Tuesday 28 November.
Both York Fire Station and the Q-Park car park are on Kent Street. Access to both will remain open during the work, which is set to take place between 10pm and 6am each night.
