This was the scene on Wigginton Road in York this morning (Wednesday) after a water main burst.
The picture, taken by Lifeboatmandave on Twitter, was taken on the road close to the turning for Nestle UK.
Water is cascading across the road making driving conditions difficult.
A spokeswoman for Yorkshire Water thanked him for alerting them to the problem and said: “We are aware of this leak and we’re dealing with this as an emergency.”
