One lane of main York road closed by flooding due to burst water main

A burst water main has flooded a main road into York and caused part of it to collapse.

First thing on Monday morning (April 20) Tadcaster Road was closed to all traffic at the scene of the problem, near the Holiday Inn.

At about 8am one lane was reopened, controlled by temporary traffic lights. Delays are expected, especially through the rush hour.
