The M62 has reopened after being closed in both directions for more than three hours.
The motorway was closed westbound between J32 (Pontefract) and J31 (Normanton) and eastbound between J30 (Oulton) and J31 due to a police led incident.
National Highways said this morning: “All emergency services including West Yorkshire Police are on scene. National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene assisting with traffic management.”
First reported at 5.44am, by 7am delays had reached one hour, with five miles of jams both ways.
By 9am, National Highways said the motorway had fully reopened, but with delays of 30 minutes.
