A charity golf day held at Aldwark Manor Estate on 27 June raised an impressive £2,500 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
The event was blessed with perfect weather, as the sun shone brightly throughout the day, creating an great atmosphere for golf enthusiasts and supporters alike.
The highlight of the day was a surprise visit from one of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopters, which made a spectacular landing in the grounds of the hotel.
This unexpected arrival provided attendees with a unique and memorable experience, allowing them to see firsthand the incredible machinery that their generous donations help support.
Participants enjoyed a day of competitive yet friendly golf on the estate’s beautifully maintained course. Following the tournament, guests gathered with their families and friends for a BBQ, games, an auction and awards ceremony, where the team from Mackenzie Stuart were celebrated as winners of the tournament.
The funds raised during this event will significantly contribute to the operational costs of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, a vital service that provides life-saving emergency medical care to those in need across the region.
The charity relies heavily on donations and fundraising efforts such as this to keep its helicopters in the air and ready to respond to emergencies.
