Wednesday update: Another 150 coronavirus cases confirmed in York
A further 150 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Wednesday, 20 October).
That takes the cumulative case total to 23,959 – giving an overall infection rate of 11,354.3 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 790 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 214 (37.2%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 327.9 new cases per 100,000 people (692 cases in the week to 16 October). That’s up from 263.5 in the previous seven days (556 cases in the week to 9 October).
The English national average is 447.9, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 492.1.
There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and four in the last seven days (as at 20 October).
