A further 88 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Tuesday, 24 August).
That takes the cumulative case total to 19,584 – giving an overall infection rate of 9,281 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 664 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 12 (-1.8%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 323.2 new cases per 100,000 people (682 cases in the week to 20 August). That’s up from 321.8 in the previous seven days (679 cases in the week to 13 August).
The English national average is 326.6, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 362.3.
There was one coronavirus death in the City of York Council area reported today, and three in the last seven days (as at 24 August).
