Tuesday update: Three more coronavirus cases in York

Another three coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Tuesday, 13 April).

That takes the cumulative total to 12,170 – giving an overall infection rate of 5,778.2 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 23 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down three (-11.5%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 10.0 new cases per 100,000 people (21 cases in the week to 9 April). That’s down from 17.6 in the previous seven days (37 cases in the week to 2 April).

The English national average is 27.4, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 61.

There were no more coronavirus-related deaths in the York council area today, and none in the last seven days (down two / 0%).

In North Yorkshire, there were 23 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 29,451  – an infection rate of 4,765.1 cases per 100K.

There are 1,866 cases in Ryedale (up three), 4,893 in Selby (up six), 7,601 in Harrogate (up five), 4,178 in Hambleton (up two), 5,525 in Scarborough (up seven), 2,604 in Richmondshire (no change) and 2,784 in Craven (no change).

There was one more coronavirus-related death reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.

That takes the total to 588 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).
