Only three more coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Tuesday, 30 March).
It takes the cumulative total to 12,193 – giving an overall infection rate of 5,789.2 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 59 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down four (-6.3%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 29.9 new cases per 100,000 people (63 cases in the week to 26 March). That’s down from 30.4 in the previous seven days (64 cases in the week to 19 March).
The English national average is 55.8, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 115.
There were no more coronavirus-related deaths in the York council area today, and one in the last seven days (down two / -66.7%).

In North Yorkshire, there were 11 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 29,206 – an infection rate of 4,725.5 cases per 100K.
There are 1,856 cases in Ryedale (no change), 4,816 in Selby (up five), 7,578 in Harrogate (up two), 4,164 in Hambleton (no change), 5,455 in Scarborough (up one), 2,588 in Richmondshire (up one) and 2,749 in Craven (up two).
There were no more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today. There have been no new deaths in the trust since Friday, 19 March.
That leaves the total at 583 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).
