Tuesday update: Three coronavirus-related deaths in York

A further 445 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Tuesday, 11 January).

That takes the cumulative case total to 41,909 – giving an overall infection rate of 19,861 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 3,129 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 511 (-14%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 1,609.4 new cases per 100,000 people (3,396 cases in the week to 7 January). That’s down from 1,673.4 in the previous seven days (3,531 cases in the week to 31 December).

The English national average is 1,796, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 2,075.7.

There were three coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and seven in the last seven days (as at 11 January).
