Tuesday update: Six more coronavirus deaths in the York NHS Trust

There were another six deaths reported at York NHS Trust today (Tuesday, 15 December).

And a further 27 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York.

That takes the cumulative total to 5,945 – giving an overall infection rate of 2,822.6 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days there have been 149 positive Covid-19 tests in York – an increase of 12 (8.8%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 65.5 new cases per 100,000 people (138 cases in the week to 11 December). That’s up from 61.2 in the previous seven days (129 cases in the week to 4 December).

In North Yorkshire, there were 92 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 14,654 – an infection rate of 2,371 cases per 100K.

There are 813 cases in Ryedale (up five), 2,327 in Selby (up 13), 3,881 in Harrogate (up 18), 1,825 in Hambleton (up 11), 3,282 in Scarborough (up 37), 1,077 in Richmondshire (up one) and 1,449 in Craven (up seven).

There were six more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today. We don’t have a breakdown between York Hospital and Scarborough.

That leaves the total at 334 across the trust.
