Tuesday update: Rise in number of coronavirus patients in York NHS Trust hospitals

Another 112 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Tuesday, 1 March).

That takes the cumulative case total to 54,888 – giving an overall infection rate of 26,011.8 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 674 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 245 (-26.7%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 364.4 new cases per 100,000 people (769 cases in the week to 25 February).

The English national average is 332, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 242.7.

There have been two coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area in the last seven days (no change).
