Tuesday update: More than 100 new coronavirus cases in York

There were 107 more coronavirus cases confirmed in York today (Tuesday, 22 December).
It takes the cumulative total to 6,273 – giving an overall infection rate of 2,978.4 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days there have been 328 positive Covid-19 tests in York – an increase of 179 (120.1%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 115.4 new cases per 100,000 people (243 cases in the week to 18 December). That’s up from 65.5 in the previous seven days (138 cases in the week to 11 December).

In North Yorkshire, there were 172 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 15,560 – an infection rate of 2,517.6 cases per 100K.
There are 873 cases in Ryedale (up 14), 2,467 in Selby (up 29), 4,030 in Harrogate (up 32), 1,936 in Hambleton (up 36), 3,567 in Scarborough (up 31), 1,158 in Richmondshire (up 15) and 1,529 in Craven (up 15).
There were eight more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.
That takes the total to 353 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).
Nine coronavirus patients were admitted to the two York Trust hospitals today, and there are 74 Covid-19 patients in hospital.
