Tuesday update: Four more coronavirus deaths in York NHS Trust

A further 122 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Tuesday, 26 October).

That takes the cumulative case total to 24,737 – giving an overall infection rate of 11,723 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 928 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 184 (24.7%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 411.8 new cases per 100,000 people (869 cases in the week to 22 October).

The English national average is 487.4, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 468.6.

There was one coronavirus death in the City of York Council area reported today, and one in the last seven days (as at 26 October).

There were four coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.

That takes the total to 675 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).

There were seven coronavirus patients admitted to the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust trust on 17 October, and 39 in the previous seven days (up one).
