Tuesday update: Another 135 coronavirus cases confirmed in York

A further 135 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Monday, 21 February).

That takes the cumulative case total to 54,214 – giving an overall infection rate of 25,692.4 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 919 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 168 (-15.5%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 441.2 new cases per 100,000 people (931 cases in the week to 18 February).

The English national average is 444, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 336.1.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and three in the last seven days (as at 22 February).
