A further 65 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Tuesday, 28 September).
That takes the cumulative case total to 22,015 – giving an overall infection rate of 10,402.3 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 509 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 100 (24%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 236.0 new cases per 100,000 people (498 cases in the week to 24 September). That’s up from 165.4 in the previous seven days (349 cases in the week to 17 September).
The English national average is 324.7, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 411.7.
There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and one in the last seven days (as at 28 September).
