Tuesday update: 35 more coronavirus cases confirmed in York
There were 35 more confirmed coronavirus cases in York today (Tuesday, 10 November).
This takes the cumulative total to 4,228 – giving an overall infection rate of 2,007.4 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days there have been 346 positive Covid-19 tests in York – which is down by 79 (-18.6%).
The provisional seven-day rate of cases in York is 171.88 per 100,000 people, as at 7 November. The latest validated data is 183.3 as at 4 November.
At the University of York, there were 62 individuals self isolating due to a positive Covid-19 test today. Since the previous update on Monday it has been notified of 23 new cases, included in that figure.
At York St John University today, there were 21 people self isolating due to a positive test.

In North Yorkshire, there were 274 new confirmed Covid-19 cases today, taking the cumulative total to 10,424 – an infection rate of 1,686.6 cases per 100K.
There are 541 cases in Ryedale (up 15), 1,586 in Selby (up 37), 3,039 in Harrogate (up 68), 1,420 in Hambleton (up 24), 1,963 in Scarborough (up 92), 849 in Richmondshire (up 26) and 1,026 in Craven (up 12).
There were no more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.
That leaves the total at 242. We don’t have an up-to-date breakdown of that figure between York and Scarborough Hospitals.
