Thursday update: One more coronavirus death and 56 more cases in York – 336 cases in North Yorkshire
There was one more coronavirus-related death in York Hospital today (Thursday, 12 November).
And there were 56 more confirmed Covid-19 cases in York. This takes the cumulative total to 4,338 – giving an overall infection rate of 2,059.7 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days there have been 354 positive Covid-19 tests in York – which is down by 41 (-10.4%).
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 170.0 new cases per 100,000 people (358 cases in the week to 8 November). That’s down from 187.1 in the previous seven days (394 cases in the week to 1 November).
At the University of York, there were 68 individuals self isolating due to a positive Covid-19 test today. Since the previous update on Wednesday it has been notified of 10 new cases, included in that figure.
At York St John University, there were 16 people self isolating due to a positive test on Thursday.

In North Yorkshire, there were 336 new confirmed Covid-19 cases today, taking the cumulative total to 11,022 – an infection rate of 1,783.3 cases per 100K.
There are 585 cases in Ryedale (up 30), 1,665 in Selby (up 50), 3,178 in Harrogate (up 75), 1,474 in Hambleton (up 31), 2,145 in Scarborough (up 94), 892 in Richmondshire (up 28) and 1,083 in Craven (up 28).
There was one more coronavirus-related death reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today – at York Hospital.
That takes the total to 247. We don’t have an up-to-date breakdown of that figure between York and Scarborough Hospitals.
