Thursday update: One area of York now has fewer than 20 coronavirus cases

A further 128 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Thursday, 24 February).

That takes the cumulative case total to 54,442 – giving an overall infection rate of 25,800.4 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 838 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 146 (-14.8%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 442.6 new cases per 100,000 people (934 cases in the week to 20 February).

The English national average is 422.2, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 320.6.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and three in the last seven days (as at 24 February).
