Thursday update: More than 100 new coronavirus cases and one death in York
A further 109 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Thursday, 30 September).
That takes the cumulative case total to 22,197 – giving an overall infection rate of 10,519.3 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 509 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 23 (4.7%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 238.8 new cases per 100,000 people (504 cases in the week to 26 September). That’s up from 179.1 in the previous seven days (378 cases in the week to 19 September).
The English national average is 333.9, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 425.3.
There was one coronavirus death in the City of York Council area reported today, and one in the last seven days (as at 30 September).
